Do you think your iPad's storage is enough? For most of you, the answer is "No". Now a company from California Hyper has created a USB flash drive that connects to Apple's Lightning connector. It's not the first USB drive to do so, but it is the first to be approved by Apple and can be used to stream films when there's no web connection, or easily transfer files to a PC.

Looks

The drive measures 51.6 x 28.6 x 9.1mm and offers a standard USB connector at one end and Apple MFi-certified Lightning at the other, with a physical switch for flipping between the two. You can choose from ABS plastic and aluminum, or all aluminum.

Capacities

Hyper will offer the drive in 8GB, 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB capacities.

Features

• It includes an app that will allow you to copy and move files between your iDevice and the iStick.
• It enables you to enjoy the ability to stream movies and music directly from the iStick to their iDevice, even if it's a file type normally not native to iOS.
• It also allows you to view photo & documents (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, PDF, iWork).
• It offers file management abilities (Copy/Cut/Paste/Delete/Rename/Create Folder).
• You can also pop the drive right into your PC to transfer files.
• Support iPhone 5/5s/5c, iPad (4th Generation), iPad mini, iPad mini with Retina display, iPad Air, iPod touch (5th Generation).

Price

The 8GB iStick is expected to have a retail price of $129. The 16GB iStick: $169. 32GB: $199. And a 64GB version will run you a jaw-dropping $299.

Ship Date

The iStick is due to be shipped by August and shipping costs outside the U.S will add an extra $10 to the price.
