Apple iTunes is still the mother of all media-player applications, with the biggest music and video store, Internet radio, and great podcasts. Along with major hardware announcements, Apple today also released a new version of iTunes to support iOS 10.3/9.3/9/8 devices. iOS 8 comes with a number of new features including custom keyboards, widgets, interactive notifications, Handoff, Family Sharing and more. Apple released the GM seed of iOS 8 to registered developers today, and will be releasing it to the public on September 17th.

Moreover, after Apple released iTunes 11.4 update to support the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, Apple is also testing iTunes 12 in beta with an all-new design, and improvements in media organization. The redesigned iTunes 12 will be launched to the public after OS X Yosemite is released.

New Features of iTunes 12 Beta:

iTunes 12 beta introduces an elegant new design, the ability to share purchases with your family, and improvements that make organizing your library fun and easy.

1. Elegant Design: iTunes now has a beautiful new look and simplified design that makes browsing your library easier and more enjoyable.

2. Family Sharing: Apple's Family Sharing program that allows up to six family members to share content from the iTunes Store, as long as each family member uses the same credit card. That feature is now available alongside improved playlist and a redesigned Get Info window. Keep reading.

3. Improved Playlists: Now you can see your full library and playlists side by side, making it even easier to add your favorite songs to playlists.

4. Redesigned Info Window: The Get Info window has been completely redesigned featuring a clean look that displays the most useful information about your media.

Developers running a preview build of OS X Yosemite can download the iTunes 12 beta as an update in the Mac App Store.
