microsoft launches office 365 to students free

Not long after Microsoft launching Windows 8.1 operating system, it unveiled a new program called "Student Advantage" in October in this year. This program brings Microsoft Office 365 Education to more students worldwide. Office 365 Education, tailored for schools, provides the same cloud-powered Office applications such as Word, PowerPoint and Excel anywhere, across any device. All schools and universities that license Office 365 ProPlus or Office Professional Plus for staff and faculty can now also provide access to Office 365 ProPlus for students, without paying a dime. While Microsoft launches office 365 to students free the program originally back in October, it has only been made available now, and Microsoft says more than 35,000 educational institutions can currently take advantage of it for their students.

What Student Advantage Brings to:

Microsoft rolls out Office 365 to students freely to help prepare students for the technology skills required in the workforce. Obviously, Office 365 is naturally the tool the company wants them to get in the habit of using. The software suite is still sought out more than any other productivity tool, and 98 percent of students using productivity software already currently use Office.

Microsoft points out that the cloud version of Office will always give students access to the latest features. "Because Office is such a highly valued skillset with employers, students who use Office 365 will have the most up-to-date versions of the productivity tools they need to excel in the classroom and the workforce" it explains. What's more, it took a jab at Google by mentioning that even Google's own job postings require competency with Microsoft Office.

In the other hand, this activity of Microsoft means that it is lowering the marginal cost of Office for students to zero, while guaranteeing itself revenue through contracts with universities and the like. Microsoft can't afford to cede mind and market share to Google, which provides a free Office competitor, and it must preserve its revenue from the product, which is a key profit source.

Nevertheless, Student Advantage is a great program of Microsoft. Additionally, get Office Password Recovery in hand to crack the forgotten Office password if you unfortunately forgot it.
